Raft Guide Training Course

This three day British Canoeing endorsed training course is designed for anyone looking to become a stadium or river raft guide up to grade 4.

There are no formal prerequisites needed to attend this course but we do require you to be a confident swimmer.

The course syllabus covers a wide range of topics, just some include, personal guiding skills, white water leadership, safety & rescue, raft flips, personal and group equipment...

  • Location - North Wales or South Lakes (water dependent)

  • ​3 day course

  • Equipment hire available

Stadium Raft Guide Assessment

Contact us to arrange your Stadium Raft Guide Assessment course.

We recommend you have completed either formal raft guide training or have gained experience through informal training by other qualified stadium guides.

To register for this assessment you must have the following 

  • Full national association membership​

  • Safeguarding training (dated in last 3 years)

  • Min 16hr first aid training (dated in the lat 3 years)

  • £220 inc fees

Grade 2 River Raft Guide Assessment

We recommend you have completed either formal raft guide training or have gained experience through informal training by other qualified river raft guides.

  • Completed White Water Safety & Rescue training or R3 WRT course
