Service Description

One of our most popular activities! Take to the water in a two or three seater canoe and travel downstream as part of a group. You'll navigate a distance of 7km through stunning Peak District landscape, your journey will include navigating small grade rapids... you will get wet. Our canoes are very user friendly, stable and manoeuvrable, you'll pick up the art of paddling in no time. You'll be guided downstream by one of our experienced river guides, who using their own canoe will teach you the skills you'll need to enjoy this five star canoeing adventure. This Canoe tour also includes the British Canoeing Start Canoeing Award! We provide all your equipment including Canoe, paddle, PFD and helmet. We also provide water and wind proof top and bottoms on colder days. We recommend bringing the following; • Footwear that can get wet and muddy, trainers are ideal (no flip flops or welly boots) • A change of clothes and shoes for after your activity  • A towel for changing  • Arrive in the clothes you with to wear during your activity, these should be comfortable and reflect the weather • Sun screen and water on warm sunny days  • Hat and gloves on cold days  • Any medication you may require during your activity The minimum age for this activity is 6 years, there is no upper age limit. Although our Canoes can take up to 3 people, we recommend larger adults stick to two per Canoe.  The largest Buoyancy Aid fits a 52" chest. The maximum group size is 12. Cancellation Policy

Refunds will not be issued if the client decides to cancel their booking after the transaction has taken place. In the case that the client or attendee is unable to attend their booking due to illness or injury a credit note will be issued. RH endeavours to deliver any activity booked. By their nature some of our activities can be affected by adverse weather conditions. The weather is unfortunately outside of our control and we reserve the right to cancel any activity booked that we deem unsafe to operate. On the rare occasion we need to cancel due to safety concerns, we aim to inform the client with as much notice as possible and will offer an alternative activity or a reschedule with no expiry date. RH will not be liable for costs encored by the client in relation to the initial booking transaction, travel or accommodation expenses where adverse weather conditions forces a cancellation of the booking.
